In memoriam

Pascale Ticheler (1967–2014 ✝) grew up in Enschede, east of Holland, moving to Amsterdam at twenty. Since then she achieved great recognition exhibiting her work in countless group and solo shows across Europe. Paintings grounded Pascale, allowing her to explore a deeper sense of self while embracing the idea of being a "small part of a larger whole". This became Pascale's "guiding force" for creating and contemplating the evolution of person, art and society. Pascale approached large-scale canvas with an uncommon grace, fluidity and depth of composition. Painting exclusively with oil paint her use of strong color is just as effective and provocative as her more delicate "white series". Pascale's work successfully defines and reshapes perception while leaving room for interpretation by the viewer.
